Discovers Presents: Warren & Flick, Jan 18 3:00PM
Timothy’s Perrysburg Foundation is pleased to announce the artists for the first Discovers Music Series concert of 2026. This next performance, as with all our events, will be presented at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, in Perrysburg. The mission of the Foundation is “to clothe, feed and fulfill” and our next artists will “fulfill” indeed. We are delighted to welcome the duo of Warren & Flick, who are performing for the first time with Discovers. Violinist Grant Flick has many connections to northwest Ohio, as his family has been rooted in Bowling Green for many years. We are delighted to feature a “native son” of Wood County in our next concert.
Jacob Warren and Grant Flick are virtuosic string musicians, performing on many instruments including the double bass, violin, tenor guitar and the nyckelharpa, a Swedish bowed string instrument that features keys. They describe their music – both standard repertoire and original compositions – as adventurous yet grounded, rooted in musical traditions with a new approach. The audience can expect a variety of styles including folk, jazz and classical music. They have published many of their original compositions and have three albums of original music. The artists will have compact discs available for purchase at the concert at a cost of $15-20 per album.
Both Warren & Flick are graduates of the University of Michigan School of Music, Theater and Dance. In 2023 Jacob Warren won first prize in the International Society of Bassists Solo Competition. Recently in 2025, Jacob and Grant Flick were invited to headline the International Society of Bassists Conference. Additionally, they were finalists in the prestigious 2024 Concert Artists Guild Competition.
